Room Parent Duties

Get to know your child's class while showing them a servant's heart.
Help give our kids a fun and exciting school year!

Room Parents for Elementary
Duties include:
 Finding an assistant Room Parent for the class
 Facilitating 1 Thanksgiving feast, Valentine’s Day ice cream social
      and 3 holiday parties
 Keeping an up-to-date contact list of the class and sending emails
      when requested by the Room Parent Coordinator or teacher
 Helping the teacher find volunteers when requested for special
      events and/or field trips
 Collect birthday card for teacher’s door, hang with a pen for
      signatures from students,faculty and staff.

Room Parents for Middle School
Duties include:
 Finding an assistant Room Parent for the class
 Helping the class organize and prepare a Thanksgiving feast for an
      elementary class
 Facilitating Valentine’s Day ice cream social
 Providing snacks (with money from school activity fund) and
      finding volunteers to help supervise 4 middle school socials
      (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and End of Year)
 Helping out with middle school service projects
 Keeping an up to date contact list of the class and sending emails
      when requested by the Room Parent Coordinator or teacher
 Collect birthday card for teacher’s door, hang with a pen for
      signatures from students, faculty and staff.

Room Parents for High School
Duties include:
 Keep an up to date high school contact list
 Send out emails as requested by Room Parent Coordinator
      or teachers
 Keep up communications between High School Student
      Council and Room Parent Coordinator
