Hi Room Parents,

Thank you all for supporting our hard-working teachers! This year, the ICS staff has been challenged to "Find their fullness in Him," (Col. 2:9-10) and to embrace this truth by being an example to our children. As Room Parents, you are challenged to uplift the teachers, staff and school in prayer and in deed.

Please join Joanne Lu and me in the PTF cottage (10:30am) after the Welcome Back Coffee (8:30am) next Tuesday, August 24th. You will get your class contact lists, party/event dates, teacher birthdays, etc. Please enjoy the PTF Welcome prior to our meeting where you will hear what's upcoming in the ICS Parent Teacher Fellowship.

ES End of Year Parties on Thursday, June 3rd!

Our last day of fun-filled parties will be held on June 3rd. $25 will be given to each RP for class party purchases. Kindly reach out to your teacher, get her input, and organize the kids' last hurrah!

Each of the students leaving ICS will get an ICS pillow for their friends to sign at the party. Please let me know of any students in your class that are leaving.

Your effort is also needed to organize teacher gifts. Pls have the students involved, as in scrapbooks, photo albums, letters, etc. This will be limited to homeroom teachers and TAs.

Funds will be made available. Pls reply with your thoughts and to discuss budget.

Room Parent Survey

This school year is winding down and PTF leadership is eager to thank all of our wonderful volunteers for their dedicated service to our school. We gearing up for a Farewell Fiesta on May 18th, and would appreciate your input on how you found volunteering as a Room Parent/Parent Liaison.

Kindly complete the survey emailed to you and return by the end of the April. You can also get a hard copy from Joy at the Main Office if you have trouble opening.

Room Parent/Parent Liaison Survey

The PTF Room Parent program was designed with the primary intention of giving some relief to the ICS teachers.  Additionally, we serve as leaders and organizers of parties, events, and communications for the class parents.  We have a dedicated group of parents who are eager to help with whatever job is needed.

May 5 : Staff Appreciation Lunch

Attention All Parents!

Want to participate in a special show of appreciation for ICS teachers and staff?

May 5th is the day to do it!

The PTF Special Events Committee is organizing the Staff Appreciation Luncheon, and we need help. You can help in the following ways:

• Contribute a financial donation
• Volunteer to supervise the children on May 5 during the lunch hour (Cover Lunch duty for the teacher)
• Volunteer to help with Set-up and decorating on May 4th
• Volunteer to help Serve on May 5th
• Volunteer to Clean-up on May 5th
• Volunteer to bake an item from the set menu
• Parents may send any donations to the school in an envelope by April 29th (at the very latest).

The teachers will collect the envelopes and send them to the office. The Special Events Committee will receive the donations from the office.

Middle School Protector & Princess' Royal Gratitude

In speaking with our MS Principal Noelle Felischmann, a thank you goes out to our MS Room Parents for your help and ideas in making the Protector and Princess Infusion a success. FunD Run Basket Reminders

Thanks to all of you who led the charge in putting together the beautiful FUNd Run Baskets. There are a few in the PTF cottage, but we are still waiting for the rest to come in.


Pls deliver by Monday with a list of contents attached as was done for the Carnival baskets. Photo of baskets and a list of themes will need to be included in the Wednesday morning announcements. Please reply to this email with any concerns.

FUNd Run Basket AssemblyFriday, March 5, 20101-3pm - PTF Cottage

All interested room parents can bring their FUNd Run Baskets at the PTF Cottage for help in assembly and decorating. Please bring your own materials for wrapping and decorating.  See you there!

Themed Gift Baskets for 5th Annual FunD Run

The FunD Run is coming up on March 13th and we are charged with making gift baskets to be raffled at the event.  Each JK-G8 grade is responsible for one basket and the HS StuCo is submitting for each HS grade. 

As Room Parents, you need to come up with a simple theme and ask your class parents for gift donations.  Final baskets will need to be submitted to the Main Office or to Angel Corrigan by March 5th, 2010.  

A modified version of the flyer above will go out in the Elem Wed folders, but JK-G8 RPs will need to contact the parents with their grade theme.  Thanks everyone for supporting this important event!

A Big Thank You!

Thank you to all parents and staff who came out to make the Valentine's Ice Cream Social a success!
Miss Schlie and Miss Garber led the charge getting several staff members as well as parents involved in scooping ice cream, decorating the canteen and ushering the kids through the day's events.

Valentine's Ice Cream Social Details

Dear Room Parents,

Please remind your class parents of the following and reply to me with
volunteer names, etc.:

-Toppings should be sent into school by Thursday.

-Volunteers needed for ice cream scooping Friday 10-11am. Pls bring your own scooper.

-Volunteers needed for set-up Friday 12:30-2pm and event control/clean-up 2-3:30.

Anyone that can donate an ice cream scooper for use on Friday, please send to school with name attached to facilitate proper returning.

Also, the main office will need a lunch head count for anyone wanting to have lunch in the canteen on Friday.
