Middle School End-of-Semester PartiesFriday, December 18, 20099:00am-onwards

It's time for the first End-of-Semester Middle School party!

Festivities will begin 9am on Friday, December 18th for all Middle School students. Room Parents will be given $75 per class and are asked to help set-up their room, coordinate efforts with their teachers, and direct the kids for the first half hour or so. There is no need for parents to stay for the entire time. Grades 6-8 will be celebrating together in multiple rooms on the 4th floor. Pls talk with your teachers to determine how to best meet their needs.

• Grade 6 - Food/snacks, water
• Grade 7 - Games
• Grade 8 - Movies and Popcorn

Hi Elementary Room Parents,

Thanks for all of your efforts in making Thanksgiving special for our children. They had a blast!

Now it's time to gear up for the Christmas celebrations on Thursday, December 17th. Each elementary class will be given crafts and $25 in party funds through their Room Parent. Please talk with your teacher to determine party time schedules, volunteer needs, games, etc. After that, please coordinate efforts with class parents to help make the day's events enjoyable for all.

Thanks again for guiding our kids in celebrating the birth of our Lord.

The prepaid forms have been sent home earlier.  An extra form has been emailed to you.

Thanksgiving Lunch-Final Reminder

1. Deadline for Parents' Lunch Orders is on Monday, November 16.  If you have not yet done so, kindly remind your fellow parents if they'd still like to join and give their response by Monday.

2. Submit to RPC the final Parent headcount for your class by Tuesday, November 17.  Don't forget to include yourself if you're coming! :)

3. For the elementary room parents: If you have been given any thanksgiving craft materials please count them and see if you have enough for all the kids. Let me know if you lack or have excess. Don't forget to bring it on the day of the Thanksgiving Party. Please confer with your teachers regarding plans for your class party.

MS Parent Volunteers Needed

Hi all,
Middle School is holding a Social Skills event for their students on Friday October 30th and needs Parent Volunteers from 11:30 - 2pm. The three skills being taught are:

Meal: preparing a simple dish, serving and eating etiquette, washing dishes
Sewing: sewing on a button, handstiching a seam
Housework: making a bed, ironing clothes, cleaning/sweeping

Volunteers are needed to teach the skill(s) and/or supervise the students while they practice. Please arrive at 11:30 for instruction and set-up time.
It would be great to have plenty of volunteers to encourage our kids as they learn these valuable skills.

What an amazing day we all enjoyed at the ICS Carnival yesterday! Many thanks go out to all of the wonderful volunteers and generous staff that made the event so successful. Room Parents for Elementary
Duties include:
 Finding an assistant Room Parent for the class
 Facilitating 1 Thanksgiving feast, Valentine’s Day ice cream social
      and 3 holiday parties
 Keeping an up-to-date contact list of the class and sending emails
      when requested by the Room Parent Coordinator or teacher
 Helping the teacher find volunteers when requested for special
      events and/or field trips
 Collect birthday card for teacher’s door, hang with a pen for
      signatures from students,faculty and staff.

Room Parents for Middle School
Duties include:
 Finding an assistant Room Parent for the class
 Helping the class organize and prepare a Thanksgiving feast for an
      elementary class
 Facilitating Valentine’s Day ice cream social
 Providing snacks (with money from school activity fund) and
      finding volunteers to help supervise 4 middle school socials
      (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and End of Year)
 Helping out with middle school service projects
 Keeping an up to date contact list of the class and sending emails
      when requested by the Room Parent Coordinator or teacher
 Collect birthday card for teacher’s door, hang with a pen for
      signatures from students, faculty and staff.

 Keep an up to date high school contact list
